“We are proud to present Datavant with this award,” stated Dr. Laura-Kathryn Neal, DeVry University’s national dean colleges and curriculum, College of Health Sciences. “As educators, we must work closely with our partners to help prepare learners for a workforce shaped by technology. Datavant and DeVry are united by a shared vision of driving innovation and addressing real-world challenges within the digital healthcare sector.”

Technology and digital innovation are reshaping the healthcare industry. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 88 million individuals were affected by large breaches last year, compromising vast amounts of electronic protected health information (ePHI). Additionally, the Bureau of Labor Statistics notes, employment of medical records specialists, health information technologists and medical and health services managers is projected to grow at a national level from 2023 to 2033.

Rooted in providing industry knowledge from professors with real-world on the job experience, DeVry’s healthcare programs aim to equip learners with the necessary skills to positively contribute to the dynamic field of healthcare and address current and long-term workforce needs. Furthermore, DeVry’s Careers Services has forged a relationship with Datavant's Talent Acquisition program, engaging hundreds of students during career fairs, leading to a steady increase in connecting DeVry’s alumni with Datavant career opportunities.

“I am incredibly proud of our Talent Acquisition team earning the DeVry University Healthcare Relationship Excellence Award. This recognition highlights their dedication to creating opportunities for growth, fostering meaningful impact across the healthcare sector, all while building and investing in emerging talent,” added Datavant’s Vice President of Leadership Development and Learning, Freddie Simshauser.
